Do you need a plumber in Arona? Leaks, blockages, water pressure issues and breakdowns in coastal and mid-altitude areas. Non-invasive leak detection and 24-hour service.
A plumbing problem never gives you any warning. A puddle appears under the sink, the shower starts draining slowly or your water bill suddenly rises even though nobody has changed their habits. If you are looking for a plumber in Arona who will actually solve the problem rather than simply patch it up, at Desatascos Campiare we attend call-outs throughout the municipality: coastal areas, mid-altitude districts and Arona town itself. Our base is in Los Cardones, in Granadilla de Abona, the neighbouring municipality, so travelling to Arona is part of our daily routine.
We repair leaks, locate hidden faults, unblock drains and downpipes, resolve water pressure problems and maintain plumbing systems in homes, residential communities and businesses, with 24-hour availability whenever the situation cannot wait.
Arona has around 88,000 inhabitants and is the third most populated municipality in Tenerife. That figure alone tells us very little about what we are likely to find when we lift an inspection chamber cover. What really determines the type of work required is the area.
The coastal strip —Playa de las Américas, Las Galletas, Costa del Silencio and Palm-Mar— is home to apartment blocks and residential complexes built in different phases since the 1970s. Shared systems are the key issue here: communal downpipes, shared inspection chambers and booster pump systems. A blockage rarely affects just one property. Los Cristianos follows the same pattern and, due to the number of call-outs we receive there, has its own dedicated service page.
The mid-altitude areas are a different story. In Cabo Blanco, Buzanada, La Camella, Valle de San Lorenzo, El Fraile, Guaza and Chayofa, detached homes with plots, private water tanks and sections of buried pipework are much more common — and in many cases nobody remembers exactly where those pipes run.
Then there is rural Arona, with the historic town centre sitting at around 600 metres above sea level. Here we find older buildings, independent drainage systems on many properties and a significant difference in elevation compared with the coast, all of which affects both incoming water pressure and wastewater drainage.
Hidden leaks
These are the most expensive problems when they are allowed to continue. The meter keeps running even when every tap is turned off, damp appears around the skirting boards, one area of the floor always feels warm or the neighbour downstairs starts noticing stains on the ceiling. Before breaking into walls or floors, we use our specialist leak detection service to pinpoint the problem, so any building work is limited to the exact location of the fault.
Low water pressure and limescale in pipes
Water in the south of the island leaves its mark. Limescale reduces the internal diameter of pipework, damages water heaters and boilers and eventually becomes noticeable in the shower on the top floor or the tap furthest from the meter. Before suggesting replacement, we check the true cause of the reduced flow: mineral deposits, a partially closed stopcock, an incorrectly adjusted booster pump or an existing leak elsewhere in the system. When the diagnosis points to mineral build-up, we can carry out pipe descaling, following an initial analysis of the water within the installation.
Blockages in kitchens, bathrooms and downpipes
Grease, wet wipes, building debris and roots are the usual suspects. For domestic blockages, we use mechanical drain snakes and probes that clear the obstruction without damaging the pipework. When the problem lies in an inspection chamber, the main drainage line or a downpipe affecting several properties, we use vacuum tankers and high-pressure water jetting equipment. You can find full details in our drain unblocking services section.
Breaks and faults in the water supply line
Not every plumbing fault appears at a tap. Sometimes the problem is in the mains connection, in the pipe running from the meter to the property or in the line supplying a water tank. Common signs include a sudden drop in flow, continuous noise within the pipework or water consumption that does not match actual usage. We repair damaged pipes and replace sections that are no longer worth patching, taking particular care with older systems where materials from different periods may have been combined.

We start by listening. With a clear description of the symptoms —where the water is appearing, how long it has been happening and whether it affects one outlet or the entire property— we can often anticipate what equipment will be needed and avoid having to make a second visit. Once on site, we assess the installation and explain what we have found and what options are available before carrying out any work.
Once the repair is complete, we provide written or verbal recommendations to help prevent the same problem from happening again: what should not be put down the drain, how often the inspection chamber should be checked or how to protect your plumbing from limescale. It is the same approach that has helped us earn more than 150 Google reviews and the same standard followed by the entire Campiare team, both in Arona and throughout southern Tenerife.
